Shoes are a girl’s best friend, and that’s a fact. They have limitless possibilities and never let you down. They also have the rare super power to take your outfit from zero to high fashion faster than Joan Rivers can call you out on The Fashion Police. One of the most popular (and equally daring) shoe trends as of late? Socks with heels.

Sunflowers and roses and daffodils – oh my! Floral is a classic look that has been popular for years, and it never goes out of style. I would bet you my favorite NYX lipstick that there’s at least one floral piece in your closet. (I’m right, aren’t I?) But even though florals serve as the perfect go-to print, a new flower is on the rise – daisies.

The only thing worse than the bipolar weather we’ve been having lately is deciding what to wear when facing the unpredictable elements. State College is saddened to say goodbye to the oldest store owned by its original family. Mr. Charles Shop is closing on May 31, 2014. It can happily celebrate the many wonderful and successful years seen by State College residents and Penn Staters for the past 74 years.

All Penn State students have an impressive array of hoodies, tees and sweatpants displaying their Nittany Lion pride. Because we attend such an amazing school, showing our spirit for it is a given. However, grungy sweats inevitably bring your outfit down and make you feel and look sloppy.

There are many perks to having a boyfriend, but by far the best part of having a boyfriend is his closet. Yes ladies, besides the dates and cuddling, having a boyfriend means that your amount of clothes miraculously doubles… even if he isn’t aware of this.

With New York Fashion Week coming to a close, we can all take a moment to appreciate all of the exceptional street style looks from the fashion industries’ best dressed. This year, there was one obstacle that made dressing stylishly more of a challenge than usual, the polar vortex weather. However, the freezing temperatures and tremendous amounts of snow did not stop these fashionistas from looking their best.

This past Thursday marked the end of another exhaustingly cold, yet beautiful week. No, we’re not talking about the Polar Vortex. We’re talking about New York Fashion Week.
