Centr Yourself During Quarantine

With nearly everyone practicing social distancing and working from home, it is common to feel unmotivated in different aspects of your life. Fortunately, your workout routine doesn’t have to suffer from a lack of gym. It is important now more than ever to be exercising your body and mind to help keep you motivated, and the Centr app has it all!

Actor Chris Hemsworth first launched this app back in 2019. Famously known for his hunky role of Thor in the Marvel movies, Hemsworth is no stranger to bulking up for movies. Combining his passion for fitness with professionals across different health and wellness fields, Hemsworth created a wholistic health approach available to individuals eager to learn.

This app doesn’t restrict itself to just workouts. You can find recipes, snacks, podcasts, meditations and blog posts, in addition to the self-guided or coached workouts available. Each post is created by professionals, such as Hollywood stunt double Bobby Holland Hanton; kickboxing champion Jorge Blanco; and chiropractor Dr. Eric Goodman. You also have the opportunity to tailor the program to your individual needs: food restrictions (vegetarians and vegans, you’re covered!), workout goals and food availability.

I’ve had to train my body for certain roles – bulking up or slimming down – and I was forced to educate myself on how best to do that safely and efficiently. I spent a lot of time trying to figure it out on my own, searching the internet…but there’s just so much information out there. Centr is my answer to that. We’ve built a community of people I trust and respect in the various fields of training, nutrition and mental wellness and it’s all available in one place.

With all of the changes in our daily routines, Centr has tackled many issues individuals are facing during the pandemic. Understanding the importance of staying healthy during times like this, a ‘no equipment’ filter has been added on workouts for people who no longer have access to a gym. Plus, the Centr blog is full of helpful articles, such as how to deal with anxiety, objects around your home you can use as gym equipment and recipes targeted to common pantry products if you are unable to grocery shop often.

You can download the Centr app and access a 7-day free trial through the Apple App Store. As always, it is important to consult with your doctor before undergoing any severe dietary or fitness changes.

Check out Centr to see if it helps you stay safe and healthy! Follow VALLEY on Instagram and Twitter for more ways to stay motivated this spring.
