After a long, busy week, what’s better than some self care? Join VALLEY this Sunday, Sept. 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for an afternoon full of yoga, DIY activities, food and more!
The day is going to start off with a yoga session lead by instructor Jenn Bauer. Bauer owns Chase the Light Wellness, “a holistic wellness consulting business that uses yoga, other forms of movement, and mindfulness practices to empower people to create their own happiness.” She is also certified in many different areas such as yoga, pilates, cycling and wellness coaching; however, it was yoga that was her first love.
“I think of the yoga mat as a research facility where we can observe our ingrained habits, witness how we react and respond to challenges, and gain a deeper understanding of ourselves,” says Bauer. “I offer this experience by giving you the space to see and feel what’s happening in your mind and body as you challenge yourself to stay present. Once you’ve begun to recognize your own patterns, you can begin to do the soul-driven work of unwinding your way to your truest, authentic self.”
Bauer is a committed instructor, and her class is sure to be the perfect way to start off a day full of self care and self love. She’s planning on doing a yoga session that is “very relaxed and restorative with a focus on using yoga to unwind and care for yourself.”
Once we’re all stretched out, there will be a station where you can make your own body scrub so you can exfoliate and get your glow on.
And, it wouldn’t be self care without something good to eat. Frutta Bowls will be hanging out and offering a variety of smoothies and protein bites. Frutta Bowls uses natural and safe ingredients, so you won’t find any added sugar, chemicals or unnatural additives. Go ahead and indulge in some guilt-free snacking!
We will also be selling raffle tickets that will go towards a basket filled with wellness goodies and gift cards, so a day full of self care doesn’t have to end!
There will also be a photo booth, so bring some friends and get some cute pics! Be sure to check out VALLEY’s merch which will also be available during the event.
The event will be held at The Park Clubhouse, which is part of the apartment building located less than a mile off of campus at 348 Blue Course Dr. The Park is located in a beautiful, rolling setting, and they offer many different amenities such as a swimming pool, fitness and weight-training center, game room and business center.
Come ready to chill out and relax — we hope to see you there!
