Gorgeous, Gorgeous Girls Love Soup

As the TikTok proverb goes: gorgeous girls love soup; soup girls are the most popular girls in the chicken coop. While looks aren’t everything, soup sure is! Soup girls are taking Tik Tok by storm, so it’s only fitting to talk about a few of the best soups for the winter season! Here are some of VALLEY’s favorite soups for every vibe this winter!

Snow Day

Snow is falling and the frigid winter air is cold enough to bring a pinkish glow to your cheeks and nose. One of the best ways to spend a snow day — aside from sledding and building snowmen, of course — is to enjoy a warm bowl of creamy tomato soup with a crispy grilled cheese sandwich. There’s (almost) nothing more nostalgic than this. Not the biggest fan of tomato soup alone? Try topping it with a dollop of sour cream or plain greek yogurt for a fun twist!

Netflix Day

The cold weather makes everyone want to cuddle up in bed or on the couch in their coziest pajamas and blankets as they spend the day binge-watching their favorite shows or movies.  Besides, the year is coming to a close, and some of our Netflix favorites will be removed in the coming months. A warm crock of french onion soup, topped with a thick layer of caramelized cheese is the perfect accompaniment to your movie marathon! It’s savory and decadent and everything you could want for a day full of relaxation and indulgence.

Rainy Day

While some dread a rainy day, others find beauty in being able to just stay inside and take a break from the world for a day, or even just for an afternoon. They say chicken noodle soup is good for the soul but it’s just as good for a dreary, December day. Nothing says comfort like the way an oversized mug of chicken noodle soup seems to hug us from the inside. It’s a classic, sure to bring comfort to your lazy afternoon.

Hosting Friends

On the flip side, one of the best parts of the winter months is being able to spend time with friends and family. Whether you’re hosting a family dinner or a casual hang-out with your close friends, a great way to cook for a crowd is to fill your biggest pot with a delicious and hearty soup. Ten vegetable soup or chili are crowd-pleasers that are easy to prepare, and better yet, you’ll probably have leftovers to enjoy later in the week!

Date Night In

A cold, December night is the perfect setting for an intimate date night in. Light some candles, turn on your favorite playlist and set up a cozy fireplace — the Netflix crackling fireplace can set the mood too. Spend time with your significant other and enjoy a warm bowl of lobster bisque. What better way to enjoy quality time together than with a soup as indulgent and delicious as this one!
