F45: Your Fitness Resolution

With the new year rolling around, VALLEY is thinking about how to improve in the new year. So many people, especially college students, have New Year’s resolutions of increasing their physical activity, whether that is going to the gym, running outside or maybe trying a new fitness class. But the real question is: are you actually going to keep that resolution? Well, 2018 might just be your year thanks to F45 Training. It is the solution you’ve been looking for and the perfect way to stick to your New Year’s resolution.

What is F45?

F45 Training, located downtown at 232 E. College Ave, offers team training classes that are each 45 minutes long. Each class combines elements of of high-intensity interval training (HIIT), circuit training and functional training. Classes are offered throughout the day, ranging from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Each class has a different focus—cardio, resistance or a combination of the two. There are 27 varieties of classes that change each day and alternate between cardio and resistance.

Why F45?

F45 Training’s combination of interval, cardiovascular and strength training has been proven to be the most effective workout method for burning fat and building lean muscle. These are two things that VALLEY strives for as far as fitness goals. We’ve seen the results that F45 delivers and we definitely were not disappointed.

Gone are the days of going to the gym to do the same boring routine on the elliptical for 30 minutes, then hitting a few weight machines. F45’s 27 different classes all are timed differently, have different focuses and use different exercises. Even when it is the same class, the exercises are never the same.

What to expect:

When you walk into an F45 class, previews of the exercises are shown before and during the class to ensure you know what you will be doing. F45’s trainers start off the class by demonstrating all of the exercises you will be doing to make sure everyone is doing them correctly. The trainers are not only there to demonstrate, but motivate and correct form throughout the entirety of each and every class. They make an effort to get to know you, which is something that sets F45 apart from other fitness gyms.

F45 helps you stick to a regular workout routine for a variety of reasons. By offering classes throughout the day, there is no excuse to not have time for a class. There is never a time where you aren’t challenging yourself. Picking your own weights for exercises allows you to challenge yourself and perform at your full potential.

It gets even better—F45 offers a two-week free trial and student discounts, so you can experience all that F45 has to offer and see for yourself how F45 can redefine your workout.
