Selena Gomez. She’s been around since you were little. From watching her on the Disney Channel, jamming out to her music as a teen, watching her appear on award shows and red carpets and getting to see her branch out with other film opportunities. She’s always managed to make it to the top charts, receiving numerous awards for her musical endeavors and continues to make great music.

She has been on the cover of every major magazine and has been an ambassador for many well-known companies. We’ve even been there to watch her conquer her battle with Lupus, eventually receiving a kidney transplant in 2017. Despite this challenge, Selena Gomez, 28, has done a lot to further her career, and she’s not nearly finished yet.

With all her fame, VALLEY applauds Gomez for being able to still have integrity, be herself, and be an icon to everyone. Selena Gomez is just as successful today, starring on her own show “Selena + Chef”, exclusively on HBO Max, recently becoming part of the ownership team with Serendipity and their ice cream, as well as creating her very own makeup line: Rare Beauty.

On August 13th, Gomez’s show “Selena + Chef” aired on HBO Max. During these trying times, she brings some light-hearted entertainment, having master chefs teach her how to cook and improve upon her cooking skills.

Regarding her partnership with Serendipity, Gomez has gone to Serendipity since she was young with her mom and fell in love. Needless to say, she was happy to become part of the ownership team and create a new ice cream flavor. After experimenting with many flavors, Gomez partnered with the girl group Blackpink and decided that their ice cream flavor would be called ‘Cookies and Cream Remix’, which launched Augu`st 28th. It is a unique take on the classic cookies and cream flavor, with a pink spin and a thick fudge swirl! They also came out with a song to promote the ice cream called “Ice Cream” and Gomez starred in the upbeat music video.

She created the Rare Impact Fund, and from her first product sold and on, 1% of the sales will go towards the fund to increase mental health resources. She is also partnering with other organizations and nonprofits to donate and hopes to raise $100 million over the next 10 years. Rare Beauty also has a mental health council to strategize and make sure they are moving in the right direction, advising the mental health community.
