How to Build the Perfect Acai Bowl

With each summer comes new trends that you pine Instagram over. This summer, the “acai bowl” is in full effect. It’s prettier and healthier than any ice cream you’d find at the local Dairy Queen. However, it seems like the only places you can get your hands on one is in LA or NYC. So what’s a Valley girl to do? Make your own of course!

What you’ll need:

2 acai smoothie packs (available at Wegmans & Whole Foods)
1 frozen banana
½ cup unsweetened almond milk
Optional: Instagram-worthy bowl

What to do:

Blend all ingredients up together in a blender, then pour into a bowl. Meticulously place your toppings on the surface! Best enjoyed outside by a pool.

Toppings:

Granola, banana, berries, coconut flakes, chia seeds, almond butter, nuts, or even dried fruit!
