It is no secret that Kim Kardashian is a huge influence in the fashion world. Italian fashion giant Dolce & Gabbana seems to agree, as the brand has enlisted her to create an unforgettable collaboration.

The reality star, 41, co-designed Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection. The line, named “Ciao, Kim”, debuted during Milan Fashion Week.

Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce saw potential in teaming up with Kim after they spotted her wearing several vintage looks from the brand.

In a Vogue interview, Kim shared that she has a huge collection of Dolce & Gabbana pieces. She feels that wearing the designers’ work to her sister Kourtney’s wedding sparked her love for their creations.

“Ciao, Kim” was created in a retrospective vision from her favorite looks over the past 25 years. The pieces in the collection range from the years 1987 to 2007 and had a total of 85 hand-selected pieces.

The models walked the runway with quite a unique backdrop: a large projection of Kim eating pasta. Each garment donned a white label, which included the year it was designed.

Dolce & Gabbana collections are known for incorporating bold patterns and vibrant colors. However, in collaborating with Kim, the designers sought to reimagine the brand’s image with all-black looks and lingerie-inspired pieces.

At the very end, Kim Kardashian walked out with Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce to say thank you while blowing kisses to the crowd.

Kris Jenner, Corey Gamble and Khlo´e Kardashian all attended the event. North, Saint and Chicago were also present. La La Anthony, a long-time friends Kim, was also in attendance.

The show was followed with an afterparty, in which all food being served was named after Kim. Examples include items such as “Kimycello”, or limoncello, a popular Italian liquor,

The internet blew up the clips of Kim struggling to walk in her afterparty dress. She wore a tight, silver dress, archived from Dolce & Gabbana, with a matching pair of heels as well.

Dolce & Gabbana sold three exclusive “Ciao, Kim” t-shirts, which retailed for $195 each. They each featured Kim eating a different food item, including ice cream, pizza and of course, pasta.
