Coachella – where the most diverse mix of artists perform to create an entire mix of historical sets.

Every year, Coachella hosts two weekends full of headline performers ranging everywhere from hip-hop to country. There is music for everyone at the festival designed in beginning to mid April at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert.

Weekend one was held on April 14 to 16 and weekend two was April 21 to 23 for Coachella 2023. Typically, the artists play for both weekends, however, sometimes that might not be the case.

This year, the main headline event on Sunday was dedicated to Frank Ocean. People have been waiting to see him perform for many years as he took a hiatus due to personal issues with his brother passing away.

Fans were waiting over an hour to see his live performance, in which he kept teasing to come out. He spent most of the set playing backstage to then say it was not the show he intended on and decided to cancel his performance the second weekend of Coachella.

For the second weekend, he brought out Zendaya as a surprise guest to sing his work featured in the show “Euphoria.” Bad Bunny also had Post Malone as a surprise guest during his headline event to which Post Malone played guitar to one of Bad Bunny’s songs.

On Friday night, the main headliner was Metro Boomin & Friends, which are some of the top artists in hip-hop/rap today. Weekend one, he had other artists join him such as The Weeknd and Future. The Weeknd even performed a snippet of an unreleased song which made fans excited to hear what he has coming next. Weekend two, MetroBoomin brought out Kodak Black, who has been incarcerated for some time.

On Saturday night, the main headliner was Calvin Harris and he really brought life to the dessert. He played his old hits such as “Summer” and “Feel So Close.” Harris also released a new preview to a song which changed his set from old classics to what is coming next for EDM music.

Another DJ set that was crazed about over social media was Chris Lake and FISHER. Event attendees said it was one of the most fun sets, even if you do not particularly care for house music. The collaboration also teased a new song to what now fans cannot wait to become the summer anthem of 2023.
