The world of figuring out how to become skinny fast, without having to exercise can become exhausting. From crash diets to supplements, some of these techniques can truly be questionable for safety purposes. The newest pharmaceutical product that is raising many concerns is ozempic.
Ozempic is an injection medication, taken once a week, made to help adults with type II diabetes manage their blood sugar. Ozempic is not labeled as a weight loss drug however, it contains an active ingredient called semaglutide. This ingredient is FDA-approved for people with higher levels of obesity to help weight loss.
In the celebrity scene, a lot of stars have been accused of using ozempic. Due to an insane amount of weight loss people have noticed within the past few months, like celebrities such as Chelsea Handler and Remi Bader.
Recently, The Real Housewives Of New Jersey star, Dolores Catania revealed she was taking ozempic. She admitted to it on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, after he commented how she looks so thin. He then asked if she was taking ozempic. Catania did not hold back, addressing she joined the ozempic bandwagon. In addition to implying all her casemates also use the medication.
The 52-year-old reality personality explained it was due to health issues that she decided to use ozempic. Catania confessed that she is going through menopause and has a thyroid problem that makes inflammation and excess weight harder to control. She said she already works out and these layers of challenges made it more difficult than the normal routine for weight loss.
Even though Catania claims she is taking ozempic for medical reasons, the drug is still not meant for issues of weight loss unless when it is related to type II diabetes. Some see an issue with people taking an FDA-approved drug for different reasons than it’s original purpose.
Despite the controversy, Dolores Catania is one of the very few reality stars that will admit to using the substance. She calls the RHONJ fans her friends and how she always wants to be honest with everyone. When Andy Cohen asked her, she admitted truthfully.
A lot of other reality television stars have been under the spotlight when it comes to ozempic. The Kardashians are being looked at through the eye of the public; as many of them have drastically lost weight over a short time period. It raises a concern about what the truth is, and if this way of weight loss is actually safe.
