#WCW: Cara Delevingne

You might know her as that model with the super thick eyebrows, or BFF of Kendall Jenner, but there’s a lot more than that to Cara Delevingne. Which is exactly why she’s our #WomanCrushWednesday this week.

Cara Delevingne is an English model who kicked off her career with Vogue when she was just 10 years old. Now 22, she’s quirky and bold, with a lion tattooed on her finger and a Twitter bio that reads, “EMBRACE YOUR WEIRDNESS! I am unprofessionally professional human being. Eyebrow and life enthusiast. STOP LABELING! START LIVING.”

That’s just her personal Twitter, though. She also has created Twitters for both her eyebrows and her “bog eye” – her eye that bugs out when she makes funny faces. She recently reached 10 million followers on her Instagram page, featuring everything from her hamburger-sock-covered feet to a photo of her laying on the floor covered in fruit with “10M” written on her stomach and a balloon that reads “#bacon #paris”.

Cara never thought she would be a successful model since she’s only 5’9 and in her own words, “I’m not a girly girl at all – I didn’t get boobs until I was around 18!” Luckily, she’s proved herself wrong. Since she started her modeling career, she’s only gotten more successful. She walked the catwalk at the 2012 and 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows and currently models for brands like Burberry, Chanel, and Dolce & Gabbana.

Although she’s most known for her modeling career and signature eyebrows, Cara doesn’t stop there. She kicked off her acting career in 2012 when she appeared in Anna Karenina. If you’re a John Green fan, you probably know that Paper Towns will be making its debut in July, and Cara will be starring as Margo, Nat Wolff’s love interest. But, she doesn’t stop there. Cara is pursuing a career in music as well. She sings and plays the drums and recently recorded “CC The World” with Pharrell Williams.

We chose Cara as our #WomanCrushWednesday because she’s showed us that you can have fun anywhere, even when you’re working. She’s loud and different and has the mouth of a sailor, casually dropping the F-bomb in interviews. Her off-the-wall energy is contagious and she’s unapologetically herself, which is exactly what we love about her.
