Each THON weekend, all 700 dancers get to choose a name to go on the back of their white logo t-shirts. Looking around in the BJC in the first few hours of THON, you’ll see everything from THON family names to clever puns on the back of these shirts. Valley took to the floor in the very first hour of THON 2016 to check out some of the names of 2016.
Some of our favorite shirts, and by far the most popular theme from what we saw, was plays on the word “THON”.
Other dancers had names that seemed completely random, but definitely gave us a good laugh.
And of course, a few dancers had to have food names on the back of their shirts.
We didn’t get around to seeing all 700, but we loved the ones we saw!
