Recently I tested out GLAMGLOW’s GRAVITYMUD Firming Treatment face mask: it was fabulous! This mask promises to tighten and brighten your skin (with the help of two main ingredients: licorice leaf and marshmallow), and it delivered on both.
The mask comes in a purple jar and is accompanied with a small application brush, so there’s little to no mess when layering it onto your face. The texture is thick, slightly liquid and has the most gorgeous pearlescent hue.
The scent is addicting! It smells like a piña colada (I wish I could bottle it), and makes you feel like you’re on an island, even if you’re back in State College, PA. After spreading the mask onto your face, let it sit for about 20-30 minutes (it’s normal to feel a slight — but tolerable — tingling sensation as it dries). You’ll be able to tell when you should peel the mask off, because the color will turn from a creamy color to a shiny chrome. Peel the mask off gently, roll off any excess, and then follow up with your favorite moisturizer.
After one use, I did notice that my skin felt tighter, more firm, and that the contours of my face seemed to be more accentuated. Despite it being a peel-off mask, I did not feel that the treatment stripped my skin of any oils or moisture, in fact, my skin felt soft and hydrated. The only drawback to this product is the price. It is a little more expensive than a treatment you would find at your local drugstore, ringing in at a price of $59.00. However, if you can swing it, the mask is truly worth the price. It’s meant to be used one to two times per week, and that limited use will make the product last a while before you need to make another hefty investment.
