Fall Fashion Forecast

We all know fall fashion is the best fashion. With the colder weather creeping in, it’s only the beginning of long sleeves, long pants and jacket season. For over a year, sweatshirts and sweatpants have been our everyday fits, and while there’s no shame in that, we feel that VALLEY speaks for all in saying we’re ready to spice things up. With so much more room to play around with clothing by accessorizing and layering up, the colder months are definitely a great time to experiment with fashion.

VALLEY is bringing you our fall fashion report and we’ve come to the conclusion that these are some of the biggest trends we will be seeing this season. Hint: it’s feeling like we’re about to amp up our level of sophistication.

Button-Downs

Button-down shirts are essentially the ultimate staple item of any closet. From business attire to a hot night on the town, button-downs come in handy for any scenario. You can use it as a layering piece, in place of a jacket or a sweater or make a statement and wear it as a dress. So many celebs have been pairing their button-downs with a lacey bra underneath and VALLEY is so here for it.

Matching Suit Set

Matching sets are basically the Garanimals of adult clothing — not only are they such an easy and cute outfit, but you also always end up looking super put together. This fall, our fashion report is reading business-chic with a chance of plaid. You heard it here — we are totally going for full Cher from Clueless vibes this season. You’ll look ready to take on the world in an outfit that takes less than a second to pick out.

Trousers

We’ve all spent a little too much time in loungewear than we probably can admit to ourselves, but that doesn’t mean we’re ready to give up total comfortability. Compared to our everyday thick denim, Trousers are definitely the in-between sporting comfy and cute — not to mention they look way sleeker than the average pair of Levi’s.

When you think of the word trouser, a stock photo of someone in a whole business suit probably pops up in your head, but today trousers are becoming a total closet staple. If you’re looking for a casual fit, pair trousers with a cute baby tee or try a corset top if you’re taking a night out on the town. Trousers are bound to become your go-to pant for the fall season.

Funky-Printed Sweaters

You thought funky prints were gone with the spring and fall? Absolutely not. Funky sweaters are the printed pants of the fall, and we are so ready for the stripes, lines, flowers and whatever other patterns are thrown our way. These can be paired with trousers, baggy jeans or a midi skirt for an “oh, I just casually threw this together,” kind of look.

Chunky Loafers

We all know the slip-on black Gucci loafers that were trendy three falls ago, so think of a less stuffy, revamped version of that that adds a little height and you’ve got yourself the newest fall trend — chunky loafers. VALLEY knows how well a good platform can treat us and these chunky shoes add just that, all why upping the support so our feet can handle all the fall festivities we have in mind. You can pair chunky loafers with just about every outfit — baggy jeans, your dresses, skirts and even shorts for those sunny fall days. Add a pair of white crew socks for a more casual look.
