A look into Heaven by Marc Jacobs

Back in September, Marc Jacobs launched Heaven—a polysexual line of clothing that features graphic baby tees, hoodies, pleated skirts and accessories that are reminiscent of 90s and early 2000s teen grunge fashion.

In the early 2000s, Marc Jacobs was the must-have brand for New York City teens. Located then on Bleecker and West 11th streets, the store attracted the new generation of fashion with its youthful designs.

The Heaven collection is nostalgic for millennials who grew up in the aughts, but it’s also the perfect uniform for Gen Z. It embodies the 90s/early 2000s that have come full circle to be the latest fashion trends.

Jacobs collaborated with director Gregg Araki and illustrators Pelvis, Eri Wakiyama, Robert Engvall, Alake Shilling and Chris Cadaver. The collection cookbook was shot by Shoichi Aoki, the creator behind the Japanese style Magazine Fruits.

The logo of the collection that appears in many of the designs is a dual-headed bear, inspired by the one seen in a 1994 photograph of Jacob’s longtime muse, Katie Grand that appeared in Dazed Magazine— as seen above.

The collection, which ranges from $45 to $395, is now mostly sold out. As you patiently (or not so patiently) wait for a new release, here are some of VALLEY’s favorite pieces that are still in stock:
