THON 2015: Music To A Dancer’s Ears

The entertainment committee has a hard job of picking songs and bands to please not only the volunteers and spectators, but the dancers as well. After all, they’re the ones on their feet for 46 hours! Valley talked to a few of this year’s dancers to see what songs they’ve liked dancing (or singing!) along to, or what songs they’re hoping to hear:

Senior Allison Richman was pleased that “Sugar” by Maroon 5 has been played multiple times so far.

Senior Julia Jacobs was happy to dance along to “I Lived” by OneRepublic.

Junior Matt Mayer said “I like uptown funk. I think it’s a crowd favorite. I also think entertainment is doing a great job. Tough shoes to fill.”

Senior Kevin McKenne would love to hear the Zack Samuels remix of “Say Something.”

Senior Becca Kreyer said she’s already heard “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars, but “wouldn’t mind hearing it again.”

“I was expecting to hear Blank Space way more than I have. I love Taylor Swift,” says senior Katrina Ballerini. (Ballerini pictured right)

“I would get really excited to hear ‘Summer Girls’ by LFO,” says senior Michael Valania.

Last (but not least), “literally anything One Direction” would be fine for senior Amelia Alber.

Entertainment, keep up the great work!
