Celebrity best friend duos never go out of style. The latest pair of besties the world is lusting over is none other than Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet. The two have had the chance to bond thanks to co-starring in the sci-fi blockbuster “Dune,” directed by Denis Villeneuve. From making memories on set, to joking around in press interviews, to owning the red carpet together, Zendaya and Chalamet are the definition of friendship goals.
How Their Friendship Began
As we all have seen in the past, film sets can be the perfect catalyst for creating lasting relationships. In Zendaya and Chalamet’s case, they knew they would be friends from the start.
In an interview with E!, Zendaya recalled being intimidated walking onto set with a cast and crew of such talented artists. However, she said Chalamet and Villeneuve created a “warm” environment for her.
“Immediately, I was like, ‘We’re going to be friends for life, this is happening,'” she said.
In an interview with Warner Bros. France, Chalamet complimented Zendaya and working with her on “Dune.” According to Twitter user @MarieHPz, who took to translate his words from French to English, Chalamet said, “She’s one of the best actress of my generation.”
During the making of the film, the duo made sure to always have fun. When Zendaya was on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she mentioned how she and Chalamet created spontaneous memories together.
“I think my favorite part was when we would have these, like, dance parties in my room, where I would leave the door open, Timothée would come in with his little speaker, and then everybody would start coming in and we’d just start dancing,” Zendaya said.

The Dominating Duo on the Red Carpet
When it’s known that Zendaya and Chalamet will hit the carpet, the world practically stops. These two are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to fashion, and they have not been disappointing. The pair have had the chance to walk several carpets together this year and VALLEY wants to share our favorite looks.
For the London premiere of “Dune,” Zendaya dazzled in Rick Owens and completed the final look with Bulgari accessories. Chalamet opted for a unique Alexander McQueen suit with the jewelry from Cartier.
For the Paris premiere, Zendaya graced the carpet wearing a flattering set by Alaïa, debuting Pieter Mulier’s anticipated collection. Chalamet brought color to the carpet, wearing a sleek Tom Ford suit.
Despite being dressed quite different from each other at a “Dune” photo call in London, the friends still pulled off a cohesive look. Zendaya wore a chained harness and skirt by Vivienne Westwood and Chalamet had some fun with prints, wearing a mushroom-patterned Stella McCartney suit.
This look, from the Venice Film Festival, unsurprisingly broke the internet. Chalamet was dressed in a Haider Ackermann ensemble with Cartier accessories, while Zendaya wore custom Balmain with Bulgari accessories.
