If you haven’t noticed by the crisp air, those stressful first exams and many early morning tailgates — fall is upon us! As this time of year is arguably the best of all, VALLEY is here to share some classic shows and yummy treats to give autumn the warm welcome it deserves. So, light your favorite fall candle, relax and enjoy!

“Gilmore Girls” & Homemade Rice Krispie Treats

There’s nothing like watching Rory’s back-to-school jitters and the annual Stars Hollow Autumn Festival to get into the spirit of fall. “Gilmore Girls” is the ultimate comfort show to throw on when you are looking to recharge, do some homework or hang with friends. A few episodes in and you’ll find yourself feeling like a true Stars Hollow resident.

Even Lorelai and Rory could not mess up this fool-proof, no oven needed Homemade Rice Krispie Treats recipe that is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. All you need is marshmallows, butter, Rice Krispies and some muscle to mix it all together, let sit for an hour and enjoy!

“Friday Night Lights” & Buffalo Chicken Bites

Sure, Penn State football is great and all, but don’t you ever miss high school football? Something about cheering on your best friends, diehard rivalries and student section themes definitely bring about a sense of nostalgia. Get your fix with “Friday Night Lights,” the perfect mix of love triangles, family struggle, and southern charm that is sure to transport you back to the good ole days.

Hereditary& Loaded Popcorn

Not for the faint of heart, “Hereditary” is the perfect show to turn on when you are looking for a good scare. Centered around the haunting of a family following the death of their grandmother, this horror movie is sure to get you in the Halloween mood.

Because this film requires lights out and your full attention, this Loaded Popcorn recipe is quick and easy. The sweet treat features marshmallows, caramel and any of your favorite snacks such as Chex mix, pretzels, mini Reese’s cups, M&M’s and nuts. Heat up your favorite microwave popcorn, mix it together and voilà!
