Ways To Motivate Your Monday

One of the worst sounds in the world is your alarm going off on a Monday morning. The awful, constant beeping signifies another week of class, homework and stress. However, Monday is the first day of a new week. Here’s how to stay motivated and make it your best week yet.

Jump start your Monday with your favorite morning beverage. Happen to be a coffee addict? Valley recommends throwing your hair into a messy bun and running down to your nearest Starbucks before class. The taste of a fresh, warm cup of coffee is enough to put some motivation into your Monday.

Although it may sound like a drag, try setting your alarm a little bit earlier to give yourself some time to eat a well balanced breakfast. Trust us when we say nothing is better than giving your body the nutrients it deserves for the long day ahead.

Sunday night, fill a mason jar or to-go cup with a layer of your preferred yogurt. Then, add in some fresh strawberries, blueberries, or another kind of your favorite fruit. Add in more yogurt and top it off with some granola. You can even add in some dark chocolate or coconut to aid your sweet tooth. Pop it in the fridge overnight and the next morning just grab it and go for a perfect Monday morning pick me up. Not only will your stomach thank you for not rumbling, the person sitting next to you in your 9 A.M will, too.

Make a date with your friends to get dinner and study after all of your classes are over for the day, that way you are giving yourself something to look forward to. Doing homework and catching up with friends is one of the best ways to motivate yourself to get ahead for the week.

This Monday is not the same as the last, which means new opportunities, people to talk to and places to go. Instead of having the mindset that this week is going to go by slowly, try thinking that every day this week is a step closer to the weekend, with something to look forward to each day.

According to Ambition Daily, “You don’t need a new year to make a change, all you need is a Monday.” Have you been wanting to go to the gym more lately? Make Monday your day. Is there a club you have always wanted to join, but have been too timid to? Join this Monday.

The dreaded first day of the week does not have to have a negative vibe — let it be a day of reflection and positivity as you start your week off right.

T.G.I.M, am I right?
