The Ice Cream That Will Make You Go Bananas

There’s no greater pleasure in life than relaxing with a nice pint of ice cream. And there’s no greater guilt than realizing you’ve somehow managed to consume the entire thing.

But you don’t need to give up your love of ice cream – banana ice cream is just as good as regular ice cream, and so. Much. Healthier!

To make banana “ice cream,” dice up 2-3 bananas in slices and freeze until frozen. Then, dump your slices in a blender and mix away! This ice cream-like consistency is the base for these delicious recipes, ranging from “healthy” to “let’s pretend this is healthy, but really it’s just delicious.”

PB & J/Fluffernutter

With your banana base already in the blender, add 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and a handful of fresh strawberries.

If you don’t like strawberries, add ¼ cup of fluff for a dessert that reminds you of your favorite childhood sandwich!

Funfetti

Turning the best cake flavor out there into ice cream? Yes, please. Just add a teaspoon of vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of Funfetti dry cake mix into the blender with the frozen bananas! Add rainbow sprinkles and top with even more sprinkles!

Scrumptious S’mores

This camping favorite can easily be made into ice cream – no campfire necessary! To your banana base, add ¼ cup of fluff, a few tablespoons of chocolate chips, and half a crushed up graham cracker!

Cookies and Cream

With just a teaspoon of vanilla extract and 2 crushed Oreos, this flavor is almost as good as its woodsy counterpart.

Triple Chocolate

Anything that tastes this chocolatey deserves an award! Add a teaspoon of cocoa powder, a few teaspoons of Nutella, and chocolate chips into the blender with the bananas.

Although these recipes aren’t always not be the healthiest, they are definitely healthier than regular ice cream! The healthiest option would be plain banana ice cream topped with some delicious fresh fruit! Either way, this is one idea you must try to get prepared for summer!
