Everyone deserves to experience their main character moment. Right?

Duh!

However, most Penn Staters are unaware that they can live out these main character moments on their daily walks around campus. The only thing you need are your headphones!

VALLEY has put together a list of main character moment songs to jam out to when you’re walking around campus.

1. For When You’re Walking By Old Main

Good ‘ole Old Main: one of the most picturesque and iconic spots on campus.

VALLEY recommends listening to “Electric Love” by BØRNS. “Electric Love” is an upbeat song that encompasses the raw emotions of the college experience.

Blasting this while walking past Old Main will ensure that you feel like you’re in one of those coming-of-age movies.

2. For When You’re Walking By The Business Building

Some Penn Staters have classes in this building, while others might be stopping by for some delicious Saxbys coffee.

Either way, VALLEY wants you to listen to “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” by Tears For Fears. While the song’s underlying theme is rather dark, the catchy melody will have you humming this tune in class!

This song will create a sense of nostalgia for students, and make them ponder the upcoming journeys that are ahead. That’s a real main character moment there!

3. For When You’re Walking Past The Library

There’s no place on campus quite like the library.

The library frequently has students ponder their classes, major, and future. This is why VALLEY recommends “Still Don’t Know My Name” by Labrinth for that main character moment.

“Still Don’t Know My Name” will comfort students around the never-ending uncertainty and questioning that accompanies being in college.

4. For When You’re Walking Past East Halls

Commonly known as the dorm areas for first-year students, East Halls brings back a lot of old memories from the beginning of college.

VALLEY recommends listening to “Doses and Mimosas” by Cherub. This song will serve as an oath to all those first-year memories, including the ones that we would like to remember and forget.

5. For When You’re Walking Past The Arboretum

What screams main character energy more than a mysterious walk around the Arboretum?

You should listen to “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” by Taylor Swift to bring this main character energy on your next walk around the Arboretum. The song will have you questioning why you didn’t run away with your previous lover.

Total main character energy, right?

Right!
