Pop Up Ave Is Ready to Get it Poppin

Andrea and Brad Groznik welcome attendees to their event in April. They will host their popular flea market again on Saturday, Sept. 23 in Downtown State College.

Pop Up Ave is back and better than ever! On September 23, 2017 this urban style flea market will take over downtown State College from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The urban market incorporates local entrepreneurship into a day filled with music, performances and food.

For the second year in a row trendy vendors, food trucks, a beer garden, live music and so much more will encompass the Garner Street Parking lot. Some of the vendors that will take part in the action are Artfelt, Bead On a Wire, Ear Emporium, RAD Stickers and Doodads, and Moonrise Candle Co.

We’re not sure about you, but Valley loves some good eats. Luckily, Pop Up Ave is bringing some of the best food trucks and vendors to town. Elk Creek Café & Aleworks Beer Garden, Rothrock Coffee, Nomad Kitchen, My My Chicken, Brazilian Munchies, and Koo-Weh Nana will be there for you and your taste buds.

Live music from Evan Savage, The Psychic Beat, Hops & Vines and other artists will take the stage to contribute to Pop Up Ave’s free-spirited atmosphere.

To top all that off, there will be pinwheel-making with The Makery and pottery-painting with 2000 Degrees.

State College has an atmosphere like no other. It’s neat shops, restaurants, and hidden cafés give Happy Valley that college-town charm.

However, former Penn Staters, Brad and Andrea Groznik, noticed something was missing from this remote town in Centre County. After experiencing the countless flea markets in New York City, they knew what they had to do…bring the flea market back to State College, and that is where Pop Up Ave was born.

“The momentum for this event keeps increasing, and we’re so happy people enjoy it,” Andrea Groznik, Pop Up Ave cofounder, says.

For some, Pop Up Ave is the missing puzzle piece that State College needed. Come out and enjoy a day filled with food, music, and happy people in Happy Valley.
