Podcasts That Will Ease Your Walk to Class

Though the Happy Valley weather has eased up in the past few days, morning walks to class have been unbearable. Honestly, no matter what time of day it is it feels impossible to get outside in the frigid cold and get to class. It’s hard to keep up morale when you listen to your sad girl playlist with a wind chill blowing in your face.

Put a pep back in your step and bench the folklore for one of these playlists. You’ll get lost in their conversation and find yourself laughing even on the hike up Shortlidge Rd. Each post a new episode weekly and the majority span over an hour which should cover your daily commutes to class or even a hot girl walk!

Relatables

Hosts Ottie Clark and Jake Craig are lifelong best friends in their early 20’s still figuring it out just like the rest of us. In some episodes, they help with “dilemmas” sent in by listeners and in others, you get to listen to the pair get deep about their own personal struggles. You start listening to “Relatables” for the Australian accents but stay for the hilarious banter and advice about life and love from the male post-grad perspective.

Giggly Squad

Bravo fans know them from the reality TV show “Summer House” — or, if you prefer stand-up, you may recognize comedian Hannah Berner. If you want to transport yourself to the girls’ bathroom or have never heard the conversations that ensue inside here is the podcast for you! Best friend duo Paige Desorbo and Hannah Berner giggle throughout the entire episode while covering all things from pop culture breaking news to relationships and family drama. Either way, they always keep it light and are bound to make you laugh.

Cancelled

If “a bleach and tone” means anything to you or if you lived on YouTube in High School you know Tana Mongeau. The internet star known for her wild and extremely personal story times teams up with best friend Brooke Schofield to lean into their controversial reputations while airing out the L.A drama from their couch. If you want to stay up-to-date on their insane partying adventures, tragic relationships, and celebrity gossip, Cancelled is a must-listen.

Next time you’re forced to bear the cold don’t do it miserably. Cheer yourself up by listening to one of these podcasts and let us know what you think @VALLEYmag on all socials!
