Fashion has always been a major part of the entertainment industry — from The Met Gala to the Oscars, celebrities do not shy away from making a statement at these events. In recent years, men in the entertainment business have taken it upon themselves to show off their sense of style.

In the past year, there have been a few stand out men that have taken their fashion sense to a whole new level. These are VALLEY’s top five faces of male fashion in the past year.

Harry Styles

Everyone’s favorite boy band member gone solo, Styles has not only been avid in making a name for himself in both music and movies, but he has also taken it upon himself to change the game of male fashion.

Styles’ style was mainly noted by his fans who saw him dressed in vibrant patterned jumpsuits when he was on his most recent tour. Since then, he has taken his eclectic look beyond arena stages.

Styles became the face of Gucci last year for their fall and winter collection. He wore plaid suits and golden halos and posed with a chicken in a fish and chips shop.

Due to all of his notability in fashion, Styles is now set to host the 2019 Met Gala alongside Lady Gaga and Serena Williams.

Timothee Chalamet

Ever since his starring roles as Elio in the Academy Award nominated film “Call Me by Your Name” and as Kyle in the Academy Award nominated film “Lady Bird”, Chalamet has been become a household name.

Due to his great success in the acting world, he has come to walk many red carpets. Over time he has developed his own style, featuring floral suits and a harness-inspired suit at the 2019 Golden Globes.

Chadwick Boseman

After his slingshot to fame due to his starring role in Marvel’s “Black Panther”, Boseman has become a man with regal yet specified style.

At recent red carpet events, Boseman has been seen wearing elegant black suits with gold and silver patterns on them. This simple yet outside-of-the-box style choice is what makes him such a fashion forward celebrity.

At the 2018 Met Gala, Boseman donned an all white suit with a priest-like robe, which was fitting since the theme was “Heavenly Bodies”. The suit and robe were decorated with simple gold crosses along the seams and over his suit pants.

Nick Jonas

Another one of our favorite boy band members gone solo, Jonas hasn’t always been a man who steps out of his comfort zone when it comes to red carpet fashion. In previous years, he has been seen wearing very simple yet elegant white or black suits to most events.

However, last year Jonas married his now-wife Priyanka Chopra and had the opportunity to show off how amazing he looks in traditional Indian wedding clothes at the ceremony in Jodhpur, India.

Cody Fern

This “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” (AHS) star has done nothing but exceed the expectations of everyone watching him, both on screen and on the red carpet.

Since his rise to popularity due to AHS, Fern has become much more outgoing with his style choices at red carpet events. His original choices were traditional black suits, but he has now shown off his style with more exciting looks.

His most popular looks so far have been a black suit with a floral pink dress shirt and a mesh topped pantsuit.
