Country Stars Take On The BJC

In 2017 we saw The Weeknd at the Bryce Jordan Center, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie at the HUB and Riff Raff at Champs. Kicking off 2018 with an amazing show by Lana Del Rey at the Bryce Jordan Center, there are more great performances to come.

Just like A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie performed at the HUB, be sure to watch out for more on-campus performances. SPA hosts a range of artists for concerts held within the Alumni Hall! For more information on upcoming concerts, check out the SPA website!

For the spring of 2018 at the Bryce Jordan Center, however, it seems to be the year of country favorites. Two big-name country artists will be making stops in Happy Valley. Both concerts are must-see, can’t miss concerts for avid country music fans. Here’s all the information you need to know.

Luke Bryan

The biggest concert coming to the Bryce Jordan Center this spring is without-a-doubt Luke Bryan. On February 22, the “What Makes You Country” tour makes a stop at Penn State. Tickets can be found on Ticketmaster priced at just over $55 to start, but VALLEY suggests not waiting to buy your tickets. Although not everyone is a country music fan, Luke Bryan concerts are pretty popular. It may not be 75 degrees, but this concert will be a little taste of that summer feeling.

Miranda Lambert

Another country superstar, Miranda Lambert is coming to the BJC stage. You can catch Lambert on March 23, on her “Livin’ Like Hippies” tour. Tickets can also be purchased through the BJC on Ticketmaster, starting at $45. The Billboard-topping, Grammy winner is sure to put on an amazing show along with opening acts Jon Pardi and Charlie Worsham. For any country music lover, this show is guaranteed to be a great night out.

Of course, Movin’ On is the season finale to the Penn State concert season as well as spring semester. With a sweet lineup of headline artists, followed by many up-and-coming and local performers, Movin’ On is always a great music experience while enjoying the beautiful sunshine of springtime. Although the artist lineup has yet to be released, keep your eyes peeled for those names to come out soon!
