5 Ways to Spring Clean Yourself

CocoCheng.GetupeasierForget the stereotypical spring cleaning. Let’s face it, your closet won’t stay organized for long anyway. This spring, take some time out to cleanse what’s truly important: YOU!

1. Ladies, shave your legs

Shaving below the knee can only count as fully shaving your legs for so long. A thorough leg shave never disappoints and often feels like a clean slate for your body. Indulge yourself in a long shower and get those legs feeling silky smooth.

2. Rest

We all want it, but never get enough of it. Allow yourself to take a 30 minute nap during the day, or force yourself to go to sleep an hour earlier than you typically would. Your body will thank you for it, and you may be surprised at your change in energy levels. Getting enough rest is often more a matter of self-discipline, so be tough on yourself and make it happen.

3. Treat yourself to an eyebrow wax and a pedicure

Why not? You deserve it. It’s important to take time out for yourself every once in a while. A pampered pair of feet and some newly shaped brows can make you feel rejuvenated enough to jump back into life with energy and confidence.

4. Take a time-out from negativity

Take the energy you would invest in complaining about something and put it towards taking action instead. If you’re unhappy about something, now is the time to fix it. Odds are you’ll feel more empowered, your positive thinking will become a habit and you’ll be more enjoyable to be around overall. Resist the urge to complain with friends, too. If you set your mind to it, you can do it.

5. Catch up with a close friend

A simple task, but one that can make all the difference in your day. Catching up with a close friend keeps you connected and just makes you feel good. Force yourself to pick up the phone and chat for a while, or schedule a lunch or coffee outing.  Your friend will be glad you reached out, too.
