Music plays a large role in THON every single year — after all, what would a dance marathon be without something to dance to? From everyone’s favorite hits to live covers of top 40 songs, Valley asked some of this years dancers what songs they’re really hoping to hear before the weekend is over:

“I really want to hear ‘All My Love’ by Ariana Grande ft. Major Lazer. It gets me amped up and I love Ariana Grande more than anything!” — Christine Rienzo

“Probably ‘Sorry’ by Justin Bieber because it hypes everyone up. They haven’t played it yet, only in the line dance” — Vanessa Ondo

“‘Sweet Caroline’ because it’s a classic Penn State song, and my girlfriend’s name is also Caroline.” — Griffin Lee

“‘Smile on Me’ by Passion Pit. It gets everyone rallied up and it’s a great positive mood song.” — Zachary Raines

“Sandstorm by Darude. It wakes you up!” — Sebastian Hollabaugh

“Definitely ‘I Wanna Get Better’ by Bleachers! It’s a really great song, I listened to it all the time when I was studying abroad.” — Savannah Booth

“I want to listen to anything by Taylor Swift. I’m a huge T-Swift fan!” — Hannah Clark

“I want to hear ‘How I Want Ya’ the Darwin remix by Hudson Thames. It’s just amazing and catchy and it makes you feel good. It gets you pumped up, I’ve been listening to it on my own on repeat!” — Jeff Schmidt

Keep on dancing, Penn Staters!
