Spring. We’re all excited for it. Warmer weather, green grass, trees with leaves and … movies? The next few months are full of blockbusters you won’t want to miss. Grab some popcorn and keep reading because VALLEY is here to clue you in on some of the most anticipated movies this upcoming season.

“A Quiet Place:” April 6

It’s rare that a married couple gets to act together, but in “A Quiet Place,” John Krasinski and his wife Emily Blunt star alongside one another. Directed by Krasinski himself, the thriller tells the story of a family forced to live in complete silence, constantly fearing a threat of attacks at any sound.

“I’m most excited for this movie,” says Morgan Roock, a freshman nursing major. “I love anything with John Krasinski, and I can’t wait to see him and his wife together on the big screen.”

“Life of The Party:” May 11

In this comedy, Melissa McCarthy plays Deanna, a mother and dedicated housewife who is distraught after her husband suddenly breaks up with her. In an attempt to find the life she never had, Deanna decides to go back to college and ends up at the same school and in the same class as her daughter. If you’re looking for a good laugh, “Life Of The Party” will not disappoint.

“The Untitled Deadpool Sequel:” May 18

As if anyone needed an excuse to see Ryan Reynolds on the big screen once again, “The Untitled Deadpool Sequel” is predicted to be a hit. It tells the story of a disfigured cafeteria chef, Wade Wilson, who struggles to become Mayberry’s most popular bartender, all while dealing with his now absent sense of taste. Wade battles ninjas, canines and the yakuza as he searches to find the significance of friends, family, and flavor.

“Ocean’s 8:” June 8

Chances are, you’ve probably heard of “Ocean’s Eleven,” “Ocean’s Twelve” or “Ocean’s Thirteen.” But in this remake of the classic film, Danny Ocean’s long-lost sister Debbie gathers an unstoppable crew of women to attempt an impossible robbery at New York City’s annual Met Gala. With Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Anne Hathaway and Rihanna, this movie is bound to be an instant favorite.
