#MCM: Eric Decker

This week, our #MCM is someone who’s the total package. Ever imagine your dream guy scoring a winning touchdown AND changing diapers? Look no further than Eric Decker, wide receiver of the New York Jets and this week’s Valley #MCM.

Eric Decker played football and baseball at the University of Minnesota, where he earned his degree in business and marketing. He was good at every sport he played and he was even drafted to play major league baseball for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2008. However, football was his true calling and he was drafted in 2010.

While Decker is known for scoring touchdowns, what really makes him special and deserving of the all-important #MCM title is his life off the football field. Eric (yes, we’re on a first name basis) is married to country singer Jessie James Decker. The couple has two beautiful children together and from what they put on Instagram, they love their kids very much. Eric is the ultimate “hot dad” and this picture of him cradling his newborn son shirtless is enough to make any girl’s heart melt. You’re welcome.

Eric isn’t just a great dad. He’s also a loving, supportive and caring husband. The couple has openly stated that they’re madly in love with each other. They even had their own E! reality television show in which they made every couple on the planet jealous of their relationship. Besides being perfect in every conceivable way, they also love to give back together. Their foundation, The Eric & Jessie Decker Foundation, works to positively influence the lives of United States military members and veterans.

It gets better. Eric loves dogs and has two adorable golden retrievers that he treats like his children. If this animal-loving, smart, athletic dreamboat doesn’t make the cut as your #MCM, we don’t know who ever could.

He recently signed a $36 million contract with the New York Jets and we’re glad he did, because he sure looks great in his football pants.

Eric, you may be number #87 on the field, but you are number one in our hearts.
