Are you stuck in State College wondering how to spend your weekend now that you won’t be home for your annual family brunch? Don’t fret just yet because VALLEY has your guide to all that you can do this weekend and more.

Saturday

If you think you may eat too much chocolate this weekend you can work it off in the annual Bunny Blitz 5K starting at 9:30 a.m. The trail takes you throughout private courses and woods of Spruce Creek Valley which is around 10 miles off campus.

If running doesn’t sound too appealing you can partake in one of the many easter egg hunts in State College or Bellefonte. All egg hunts have plenty of fun outdoor activities and food to try while there too. VALLEY recommends the State College Community Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. where over 20,000 candy filled easter eggs will be hidden throughout the area.

A non-Easter Bunny event to check out is the SOMA Arts Crawl, a free one-day music and arts festival taking place all day on North Campus. Check out locations and event times here.

Sunday

Churches in the downtown area will be holding Easter services yet if you are looking to stay on campus the Alliance Christian Fellowship will be holding worship at 10:30 a.m. in the HUB-Robeson Center, and an Easter Mass will be held at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in the Worship Hall as well.

Waffles, bacon, eggs … need we say more? Specialty Easter brunch buffets will be offered at the Nittany Lion Inn, The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center and the Corner Room. If it gets too crowded, take a trip off campus to The Naked Egg or one of the many Waffle Shop locations to still get your brunch fix of the weekend.
