Summer-Ready Skin Care

ShidikaGoode_SummerFaceAfter being bundled up all winter, it’s time to start showing some skin again. But, before you expose yourself to the summer sun, its essential to strip away the last traces of the winter dullness. Valley has the tips you need to care for your glowing summer skin.

Regular exfoliation is the first step towards healthy summertime skin. During the winter, dead skin cells build up and cause dry and dull looking skin. By exfoliating, you can clear the dry flaky cells and get fresher looking skin. In the shower, scrub it off by applying an exfoliating scrub to a washcloth or loofah and scrub your skin gently in circular motions.

Nobody likes looking at dry and cracked skin. That’s why hydration is important for your summer skin care regimen. After you exfoliate, shave, or shower, apply lotion or cream all over your skin. Be careful to avoid lotions with oil because they can clog pores and cause breakouts. Drinking water is another great and natural way to hydrate your skin from the inside out.

Nothing ruins your summer glow like the redness of sunburn. While getting wrapped up in the sunshine is easy, remember to protect your skin from those harsh UV rays. Use sunscreen with SPF 15 or above and apply generously all over your body.  But remember that sunscreen only lasts for about 2 hours, so reapply frequently.

Smooth skin is crucial for those summer shorts and dresses, so shave away all that unwanted hair. Shave in the opposite direction that hair grows. And to avoid those nasty ingrown hairs and red bumps, look for a shaving cream with aspirin in it. Aspirin is an anti-inflammatory so it will reduce redness and inflammation after shaving sensitive areas.

Now you’re only a few steps away from beautiful, glowing skin.

  • Hi blogger

Thank you for the guidelines of Ready Skin Care. I started my blog just 3 weeks before. Now I write consistently and try to write more good content. I feel nice when you are recognized as I have nice blog about Zinc oxide sun protection. Builds a thin film of micro-fine particles over the skin. This ensures a protective physical barrier over the skin ensuring the most complete protection for your Oxygen skin care all year round.

  • Dear Author

Normally I don’t learn article on blogs, however I wish to say that this write-up very pressured me to take a look at and do so! Your writing style has been surprised me. Md skin care is a natural nutrient known as zincite. It has been used securely for years to protect against the side results of the sun.

    Thanks, very nice article!
