Spring Semester Entertainment Forecast

One of the best perks of going to a big school is that there’s always something to do. Valley’s decided to help you plan out your spring weekends by listing out some of the exciting events coming up this semester!

On February 12, The Harlem Globetrotters are trotting to the Bryce Jordan Center. Tickets can be purchased in advance for under $20. Shortly after on February 24, the Philharmonic Orchestra will bring melodies and clean fun to the Eisenhower Auditorium. Student admission is only $4.

Country lovers will rejoice on March 25 when Florida Georgia Line rocks the Bryce Jordan Center with their hit songs like “Cruise” and “H.O.L.Y.”

On April 11, The Illusionists will amaze audiences with impossible magic tricks. Valley  is already in disbelief at the minimum ticket price of $187 — it must be worthwhile! Lastly, “The Price is Right” will offer students the chance to practice for their Game Show Network debut in the BJC on April 25.

Aside from all of these special events, Penn State also offers regular weekly events for students. Free pilates n Tuesdays from 4p.m. to 5p.m.and free yoga is offered on both Wednesday’s and Thursday’s from 4p.m. to 5p.m in the Student Health Center.

Every weekend, the HUB shows several free, popular movies. Recent favorites have included “Moana,” “Doctor Strange,” and “Back to the Future.” To find out what titles are playing, check the posters lining the Hub’s entrance.

The best news of all? There’s more in store that has yet to be announced! The Student Programming Association has dozens of exciting events planned for the semester that will be revealed soon.

SPA executive Katie Cowden says, “I’m really excited for the concerts we have coming up, including our weekly Noontime ones, and we have a couple comedians. Our Distinguished Speakers will definitely have students talking as well!”
