“I Needed Color” (2017) 6 min 19 sec

While it is definitely shocking to see actor Jim Carrey out of his comedic element, this short film portrays Carrey’s true passion: art.

He states, “I don’t know what painting teaches me, I know that it just frees me. Free form the fear, free from the past, free from regret, free from worry.”

“Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru” (2016) 1 hr 55 min

Tony Robbins, described as the world’s most famous performance coach, allowed his exclusive mega-event called “Date With Destiny” to be filmed for the first time and made into a documentary. Found on Netflix here, this doc will have you in tears at some points but feeling motivated and on top of the world in the others.

Robbins advises people how to find their purpose and take charge of their lives through his leadership psychology. He has advised influential people from Oprah to Princess Diana to Bill Clinton, and his powerful mantra radiates. This documentary is a must-see for everyone, because if you don’t have Tony Robbins in your life yet you’re missing out.

“The Human Experience” (2010) 1 hr 30 min

The Human Experience,” from  Grassroots Films, is an incredibly inspiring documentary about two brothers observing life in search for the answer to the question of what it means to be human. Jeffrey and Clifford Azize embark on a mission together leading them to learn many profound lessons about themselves and human dignity. The men’s adventures in New York City, Peru and Africa shed light into the lives of Jeff and Cliff, allowing them to recognize the value and purpose of their lives.

“Denali” (2015) 7 min 46 sec

Denali, meaning “Great One,” is the name of the dog this short film is dedicated to. This beautiful glimpse into the life of adventure photographer Ben Moon and his dog is unlike any we have seen before. The crisp videography and music combined create a touching story of the friendship that helped Moon beat cancer.

“180 Degrees South” (2010) 1 hr 25 min

Inspired by his heroes, Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Doug Tompkins, founder of the North Face, adventurer Jeff Johnson seeks to follow in their footsteps. This documentary follows Johnson as he replicates an epic 1968 road trip to the tip of South America via boat, and it gives us a sense of the value of exploring the world in its simplest form.

Johnson said, “The best journeys answer questions that in the beginning you didn’t even think to ask”, and this quote captures the essence of the documentary perfectly.
