DEMI LOVATO: “REVAMPED” & BETTER THAN BEFORE

Popular artist Demi Lovato, known for her hit pop songs like “Cool For The Summer” and “Give Your Heart A Break” is ready to rock! Lovato says goodbye to her pop career and completely revamps her oldies into her new rock album “Revamped.”

Where it all began…

Lovato announced “Revamped” in July of 2023. However, this is not her first rock album. In August of 2022, she released her first rock album named “Holy Fvck,” and even held an in-studio funeral for her pop career prior to the release of her first rock album.

In an interview with Sirius XM, Lovato revealed that while touring “Holy Fvck,” her pop songs simply were just not flowing with the tour setlist. She says,

“I decided to turn them into rock songs… They turned out so great that I was like ‘They sound awesome, I should just re-record then and release them.’ And so I did.”

Goodbye pop!

On September 15, Lovato made a tribute to her original fans, dedicating “Revamped” to them. She says,

“This is for my Lovatics, my fans that have been with me since I first recorded these songs years ago, and now they’re rock songs I hope you love them as much as I do.”

Lovato explains that letting go of her pop career was something she just simply had to do. In an interview, She says,

“It just wasn’t the kind of sound I was looking for anymore, because it was just so pop. But when we put together the rock version, I was suddenly having a really fun time on stage performing it.”

Prior to the release of “Revamped,” Lovato gave the world a tease of her new album through the VMAs stage for the first time in six years. Lovato opened the stage with her rock versions of “Heart Attack”, followed with “Sorry Not Sorry” and concluded with a smashing remodeled version of “Cool For The Summer.”

“Revamped” is a major full circle moment for GenZ, after growing up watching her on Disney Channel, loving the pop songs she gave to us in our younger years, to now being in our 20s and witnessing her transformation into rock songs. Lovato has grown up with us all.
