Casual Halloween: How to dress festive for class

Halloween is almost here, and you probably have your costumes all picked out. It probably took some great thought and consideration. You are all set to look absolutely terrifying or terrific this Halloween. But what do you wear during the day? You’re obviously not going to show up to class in your costume, but you definitely want to look festive. So what do you do?

Well, you’re in luck cause VALLEY is going to share our secrets to help you look spooky good this Halloween day.

Accessorize

So you want to look festive but not over the top? Not a problem. H&M sells the perfect accessories to accomplish this. From a spider necklace to cobweb-shaped earrings, you will look scary fashionable. Our favorite piece is the skeleton-shaped hand chain. It’s terrifyingly trendy, and will subtlety spook your professors when you go to hand in your assignment.

Graphic Tees and Apparel

Another great way to show your spirit is wearing a Halloween graphic tee to class. Target has creative and cute tees ranging from superhero shirts with attached capes to an “I’m here for the boos” tank. These tees are a great way to casually celebrate Halloween when going to class or club meetings.

Urban Outfitters has a whole “Halloween Shop” online, complete with graphic tees, costume pieces, socks and more. We love this Halloween pocket tee that comes in three different colors with corresponding pocket details. If you really want to scare your professors into giving you a good grade, show up to class in this tee featuring the twins from “The Shining.”

H&M has a wide variety of Halloween apparel. From costumes to sweatshirts, they have a ton of options for you to choose from. This skeleton sweatshirt is perfect for staying comfy and festive. Or pair these skeleton leggings with a sweater for a Halloween inspired outfit that will surely rattle your classmates’ bones. Our favorite is the skeleton jersey dress. You could dress this down for class or pair it with over-the-knee boots for Halloween night.

Makeup

We know you won’t be wearing your Halloween night makeup to class, but you can show some subtle tints of Halloween during the day. Before leaving for class on Tuesday, dust a bit of Urban Decay shimmer finish eye shadow in “Flash” on your eyelids. Complete the look with MAC matte lipstick in “So Chaud.” This reddish-orange color will top off any casual Halloween look.

With these spooky suggestions, you can stay in the Halloween spirit all day long!
