Move over Yeezy Boosts, there’s a new sheriff in town. LeBron James is back and better than ever. His basketball game is sick but his shoe game is even sicker. That’s right, James has officially debuted his new shoe, the Nike LeBron 15. The debut of the shoe kicked off during NBA Media Day on Sept. 25.
Previous of the debut, James gave his fans a taste of the new look on his Instagram after posting a picture during NYFW with the caption, “Sheesh!!! The “Rat Pack” was up to something at the NY fashion week. The ground didn’t deserve that guys.”
It is James’ 15th signature basketball shoe and was designed by Jason Petrie. The shoe consists of Flyknit fabric that fits to your foot with a sock-like construction for ankle support, as well as to prevent the sole of the foot from turning over when running and stopping quickly, as done in basketball. The base unit of the shoe is comprised of Max Air and Zoom Air with sustainable cushioning.
The LeBron 15 has a tight collar (the top of the shoe around the ankle) which provides extra support for the ankle. This tight collar does not hinder the ability to easily take the shoes off either. These shoes are designed with enhanced engineering skills. The ventilation, the cushioning, the support…it all contributes to what makes the LeBron 15 so special.
Now you would think that a basketball shoe would be specifically for the court. However, the LeBron 15 shoes can easily be worn on the street as your typical sneaker…besides the fact that they aren’t just your AVERAGE sneaker. They are a fashion statement on and off the court.
The shoe will be available eventually in an array of colors. These include colors such as “Ghost,” “Ashes,” “Wine” and “Cavs,” which consists of navy flyknit with wine red contrasting accents plus a hint of tan on the tongue pull tabs and heel pull tabs.
If Valley lets the suspense hang in the air any longer, you may not be able to handle it. Let us give it to you straight. According to Sneaker News, the LeBron 15 “Ashes” will be released on Oct. 28, 2017 and will sell at the retail price of $185.
Wait, do you hear something? Oh yeah, it’s your feet crying out for the cushiony, cloud comfort of these shoes made from heaven.
