The Emmy Awards were a few nights ago, but VALLEY cannot let this incredible award show pass by without giving notice to some of these phenomenal standouts that walked the gold carpet arrayed in some of the most eye-catching ensembles. To recap the memorable, star-studded event, VALLEY has compiled a list of the top 15 must-see looks.

15. Rachel Brosnahan

The actress from “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” walked away from the night with the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. She donned a one-shoulder, chiffon red Oscar de la Renta that gave off a classic Hollywood aura.

14. Penélope Cruz

Cruz, nominated for her performance as Donatella Versace in “American Crime Story,” is no stranger to award shows. At the Emmys she floated across the floor in a feathery, custom-made, grey Chanel gown.

13. Karamo Brown

At his first Emmy Award appearance, Brown stepped outside the box and into the spotlight. Brown styled a blood red three-piece suit. In place of a jacket, he wore a custom Jumbo Zip Kimono Cape designed by Octavius Terry-Sims. His black Ovation Riding Men’s Flex Boots, originally intended for equestrians, complement his black cape and create a bold look.

12. Samira Wiley

Wiley dazzled the crowds in a silver, sparkling gown that glittered with every movement she made. The Jenny Peckham, floor-length dress with a plunging v neckline was perfectly form-fitting, making her a standout amongst other celebs on the carpet. Wiley’s performance in “The Handmaid’s Tale” won her the Emmy for Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series.

11. Lonnie Chavis

Since the release of “Stranger Things,” it has not been uncommon to find a younger starlet walking the carpet at an awards show. The “This Is Us” actor was a large presence on the carpet despite the fact that he is only 10 years old, standing at 4 feet 8 inches tall. The white jacket with black trimming on the lapel and pockets made for a nice take on the typical black on black tux. The pants were also perfectly tailored to fit around his legs.

10. Darren Criss

It’s exciting to see a male celebrity pushing the envelope a little bit at an awards show. Any break from the typical suit is like a sigh of relief for the eyes of spectators everywhere. This year, Darren Criss dared to go against the grain in an all-black, printed Giorgio Armani suit. Criss walked away from the night with an Emmy for Best Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his role in “American Crime Story.”

9. Joe Keery

While we do love to see men take risks, there’s something to be said for a modern take on a classic look. Keery suited up in a royal Dolce & Gabbana for the evening. The suit pants were tailored to have a hem right above the ankle, making this look a little more casual and able to show off his velvet loafers. This incredible look was only supplemented by Keery’s voluminous, luscious locks, which quickly became the talk of Twitter.

8. Angela Sarafyan

Sarafyan certainly served up looks in a black Christian Siriano gown that sparkled from every angle. Like a star in the night, Sarafyan lit up the carpet with every crystal that adorned her dress. She glided across the carpet with such elegance and polish as her dress swayed back and forth with every movement.

7. Antoni Porowski

Another standout from the hit Netflix series, “Queer Eye,” Antoni Porowski bested the other four of the remaining Fab Five’s outfits in a head-to-toe Balmain ensemble. He showed up in a suit reminiscent of matador with pants fitted perfectly to his legs and accented with zippers on the ankles.  The outfit is a little more on the creative side, but the chrome alligator-textured shoes complement the silver buttons on his jacket and they really do complete Porowski’s look.

6. Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum turned heads as she stunned in this strapless sweetheart, satin Zac Posen gown. The silky, cream dream of a dress wowed on the carpet as it showed off every one of Klum’s great curves. The folds in the dress give Klum resemblance to a Greek goddess. She accessorized the dress perfectly with a 110 carat diamond rose cut and pink diamond necklace.

5. Maika Monroe

Monroe makes this list as someone who’s able to make a non-dress still look chic and luxurious. The actress and girlfriend of Joe Keery opted to wear a white Stella McCartney jumpsuit with a fringe cascading from her shoulders and over the upper part of her body on each side of her plunging neckline. The fringe swayed back and forth with her flared leg jumpsuit as she walked the carpet revealing cutouts on each side of her physique. She looked poised with her hair pulled back into a low bun showing off her beautiful facial features.

4. Issa Rae

Issa Rae, star of the HBO series “Insecure,” dazzled as she strutted down the carpet in a powder blue Vera Wang V-neck jumpsuit. The light color was a beautiful contrast on her darker skin tone, and the crystal-embellished bodice really made the jumpsuit pop. The long-flowing, split away skirt also offered a happy medium between the modern jumpsuit and the classic dress.

3. Noah Schnapp

Schnapp, starring in “Stranger Things,” was styled in a full-on Fendi ‘fit, similar to fellow Netflix star Antoni Porowski, who wore all Balmain. This male celeb’s look stands out from his counterparts just from the initial sight of seeing a white suit with a black collared shirt. This suit is only supplemented, however, by the signature Fendi print detailing along the sleeve and shoulder padding of the jacket. His tie provides the perfect accent of collar, complemented by his black and brown shoes, to the otherwise neutral tones.

2. Mandy Moore

Mandy Moore glistened in a custom sequin Rodarte dress. The contrast from the earth-toned gown and the sequins made for a more subdued shine, making Moore a highlight from the carpet. The mermaid style dress and plunging neckline was just enough to show off her gorgeous figure. Though she controversially was not nominated for any Emmys for her role in “This Is Us,” Moore certainly showcased the classic Hollywood glitz on the gold carpet .

1. Nyakim Gatwech

The title of Queen of the Gold Carpet could not go to anyone else other than Nyakim Gatwech. This show-stopping beauty deserved all of the awards for her magnificently stunning dress. Gatwech, the relatively unknown South Sudanese model, wowed people all over with her Lavie by CK gown. The magenta fabric flowed behind her in a regal manner with an electric golden tint that sparkled with every step she took. Gatwech brought the glamor with pops of color in her dress that matched the glow in her beautifully rich skin tone. She walked the carpet like it was her own runway — with confidence and poise.
