Every now and then, there’s a day where you don’t feel your best. You know, that day where your hair is either too greasy or too dry. Your skin feels dry and cracked, and to make matters worse you’ve been sweating through your perfume. VALLEY is here to help you through days like those, and hopefully offer some helpful tips.

Soft and Silky Skin

Before getting in the shower, use a dry brush to get rid of leftover dead skin cells. Along with smoothing your skin, dry brushes are known to help with enhancing blood flow. It’s recommended that you only use the brush one to two times per week, as overdoing it can make your skin vulnerable.

In the shower, clean yourself with a moisturizing body wash, and exfoliate your skin one to two times per week. The most successful body washes have aloe vera or hyaluronic acid in them. If you’re worried about irritation, exfoliators without fragrance are the safest ones to use.

Try to brush your teeth before you wash your face. It might sound odd, but leaving toothpaste and saliva on the skin after you have already washed can cause breakouts. Even if you wipe it off, there can still be residue left over.

Heavenly Hair

If your hair feels too oily or greasy, VALLEY has some recommendations for you. If you need a quick fix, use a dry shampoo. Products with lighter formulas are recommended for those with thinner hairs.

If your hair stays greasy for a long time, and you don’t know why, there are a couple of things that could help. To remove excess grease, use shampoo only a few times per week. If you use a conditioner, make sure to use it on the ends of your hair and not on the scalp.

On the other hand, if your hair is too dry, there is a chance you might be overusing shampoo. Just like with those who have very oily hair, try to clean your hair only two or three times each week.

To further help the lack of moisture, you might want to try out a hair mask once or twice each week. The masks that often work the best have coconut oil or aloe vera extract in them.

Persistent Perfume

If you’re getting out of the shower, you might want to try spritzing your perfume onto your skin. Taking a shower opens your skin’s pores, and so the scent is more likely to stick with you.

Another tip you might want to try is applying a body moisturizer before spraying on perfume. That extra cream can help the scent stay locked into your skin for a longer time.
