There is a new app that allows students to rent out dresses from each other! With the help of Tonight’s Dress, getting dresses for formals, recruitment, gameday or VALLEY launch is easy, affordable and fast. This app was created to help girls on college campuses save money by renting dresses from their peers.

About the App

The app asks for minimal information: height, dress size (ranges from 2-20) and residing location. Despite the fact that there is no filter for this size, there are dresses that are a size zero. The cost of rentals range from $10-15.

For Dress Renters

If you are interested in renting a dress, you can explore the page and apply filters. See something that catches your eye? Send a chat to the owner and set up a try on date! If the dress fits, Venmo the owner or pay them through the app. If the owner provides cleaning instructions, follow them. If not, set a date to return the dress.

For Dress Owners

If you are interested in making some extra money, renting out dresses may be an option for you. Upload a picture and provide the following information: size, price and cleaning information. Schedule a try on with the renter, be clear about how long they can have the dress, get paid and agree on a drop off location!

Other Considerations

Users agree to manage the cleanings and any damages between themselves. The renter understands their responsibility to clean the dress, and the owner knows that by posting, there is a possibility of damage.

This app is the perfect solution if you’re in a time crunch or do not feel like spending the money on a dress. Even if you do not have an occasion to wear anything to, scroll through the app for fun! If you use the app, make sure to let VALLEY know. Tag us in your pics on Instagram @VALLEYmag!
