Well, ladies and gents, it’s that time of the year— there are less than thirty days until graduation. Cue the tears.
As you inch closer and closer to getting that diploma that’s been four years in the making, you can’t help but think of all the things you got to do— the formals you attended, the late-night Halal cart trips and seeing the line dance for the first time at THON. It’s safe to say we’ve been busy these past four years. But, what about all of the things you never got to try?
With four weeks left in the semester and the rest of your college career, now is the time more than ever to do all of those things that make you say “I need to go there or try that before I graduate.” So, without further ado, here’s the ultimate senior bucket list. Unlike your assignments, this is just one of those things you can’t procrastinate.
Sporting Events

With a school as big as Penn State that has such an affinity for football season, it’s easy to fall into the post-football season depression that consumes the spring semester. But while the Blue and White scrimmage is here to quench that need, one game simply isn’t enough. The inner fan in us needs more. And you can find so many more sports to get excited about, especially considering the surplus of nice weather we’ve had in State College. So put on your ball caps and head to the bleachers, there’s everything from baseball and softball to lacrosse and tennis. So for all those times you never had a reason to watch these games and learn a new sport, now’s your chance.
The Arboretum
As much as it is bitter-sweet to sit next to childhood’s gates, there’s nothing like the calm oasis that the Arboretum provides. Not only is it right across from East Halls, another reminder of the good old days, but with countless new additions coming to the property there are endless opportunities for some much-deserved R&R. Whether you come alone with a good book or a good group of friends, there’s nothing like escaping from the reality of State College and the fact that you’ll soon be leaving. Bring a picnic blanket, some snacks and a speaker, we’ll let these vibes speak for themselves.
Restaurants
If you’ve ever walked past a restaurant and thought to yourself “I need to try that before I graduate,” well, the day has finally come for you to keep that promise to yourself. As much as we all have those tried and true places we frequent on a weekly basis and always get the same thing (we’re on to you Bagel Crust), we all still need a little adventure in our lives and food is no exception. Whether it’s the newly opened Raising Cane’s and Mezeh or sit-downs like Gigi’s Southern Kitchen and Central Reservation, it’s hard to imagine that you’ve been to every single restaurant in State College. But if you have, we applaud you.
But, while there are so many things for us to do in such a short amount of time, there are also those other things that aren’t as obvious. So, make a move on your freshman-year crush, spend as much time with your friends as you can, go to that themed party and go all out, host a party if you’ve never hosted one before and make these last four weeks the best part of your college years.
While we’ve mentioned a lot of things and let us be honest— reading is hard— here’s everything you need to do before the beginning of May right in front of you. Good luck and start checking things off that bucket list.
- Host a themed party
- Picnic at The Arboretum
- Find a new study spot
- Go to karaoke at The Gaff
- Play beach volleyball in East Halls
- Go to one of the many local breweries
- Eat at the dining hall with the underclassmen
- Go to a VALLEY launch party 🙂
- Walk into a new store you’ve always walked past but never gone into
- Hot girl walk around campus
- Try a new restaurant
- Ride a Spin bike
- Become a baseball or lacrosse groupie
- Try a workout class
- Go to country night at Pickles
- Hike Mount Nittany
As Ferris said, life moves pretty fast. So skip the class, take the pressure off yourself and start living, because while it may be the end, it’s very much just the beginning of a really good thing.

I have seen that nowadays, more and more people are attracted to cams and the subject of pictures. However, to be a photographer, you must first devote so much time frame deciding the exact model of digital camera to buy and moving store to store just so you could buy the cheapest camera of the brand you have decided to pick out. But it does not end just there. You also have to take into consideration whether you should buy a digital digital camera extended warranty. Thanks a bunch for the good tips I gained from your website.
