The Harlem rapper made the announcement that he has signed on to be the creative director of the most globally iconic sunglasses a little over a year ago and has since made significant strides in furthering the brand’s creative future.
A New Era
Known for his spearheading style and trailblazing fashion moments, A$AP Rocky was the obvious choice to take on the role of the first creative director in Ray-Ban’s history. Rocky’s best-selling and ever-iconic design within the Blacked Out Collection was the Wayfarer puffers, the classic Wayfarer frames reimagined in an oversized, bold frame. The sunnies came in multiple color-ways, including an ultra-blacked-out frame, yellow-tinted frame, neon yellow frames, hot pink, blue, green and many more.
