The Biggest Moments from Coachella 2026

Coachella weekend came back with a bang! The popular music and arts festival is located in Indio, California and spans across two weekends. This year’s festival occurred on April 10-12 and April 17-19. One of the festival’s main attractions is the artists who perform. The headliners for this year were Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and KAROL G. These were not the only great performances from the two weekends. Other musicians such as Disclosure, Blood Orange, Addison Rae, Swae Lee, Young Thug and way more took the Coachella stage.

Sabrina Carpenter

American singer and songwriter Sabrina Carpenter captivated the Coachella audience with her performances. The pop star first appeared on the Coachella stage in 2024. At the time, she played hits such as “Espresso” and “Feather.” However, her growing popularity presented her with an opportunity to perform at Coachella once again. This time the artist returned as one of three headliners for the festival.

During her Coachella 2026 performance as a headliner, Carpenter performed hits such as “Manchild,” “Please, Please, Please,” “Juno” and more. As a throwback to her first Coachella appearance, Carpenter also sang her hit song “Espresso.” Just as she began to sing the song, she told the crowd

Well two years ago I wanted to put out a little song before Coachella. And now, I think you might know the fucking words. This is Espresso Coachella. We hope you love it.

That moment marked a full circle for Carpenter’s career. There would continue to be more memorable moments throughout her performance. For Coachella weekend two, Carpenter would be joined by Madonna. The two sang multiple songs together from “Vogue” and “Bring Your Love.”

Justin Bieber

Artist Justin Bieber also dominated the Coachella stage in his own way during his performances. Many fans are calling it “Bieberchella,” demonstrating the audience’s excitement over seeing him sing live on stage.

Oftentimes, the performances by artists at Coachella can be extravagant, dynamic and high-energy. Additionally, these are the kinds of elaborate shows Bieber would have when he was younger and a rising pop star. However, during his weekend one setlist, Bieber chose a different route.

The artist is now at a new stage in both his life and career. Instead of coming with back-up dancers and intricate choreography, he chose to be personal with his fans. As he sat on the Coachella stage, Bieber logged onto YouTube and searched the internet for his most popular songs to perform.

The moment was unexpected, but one to remember for those in attendance.

KAROL G

The Colombian singer and songwriter Karol G also had the opportunity to shine on the Coachella stage. During Coachella 2026 Karol G made history as the first Latina to headline the festival. This achievement was well-deserved and her entertaining performance proved to the audience why she was the right choice as one of the headliners.

Her setlist included a number of songs such as “Tropicoqueta,” “Papasito,” “Bandida entrenada” and many more of her famous hit songs.

Similar to Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G also has surprise appearances from other artists. One artist that shared the stage with Karol G was Becky G. Together they both sang the song “MAMII.” That night the crowd also got to hear from Puerto Rican rapper Wisin who performed “Pam pam,” “Saoco,” “Mayor Que Yo,” and “Rakata.”

The Fashion

Another major component of Coachella is the fashion. The festival’s fashion style is characterized by bohemian chic clothing, western influence and desert-friendly attire. Those who attend Coachella spend weeks and days prior to the festival cultivating the perfect outfit for each day. Some who could afford the additional cost would even hire a stylist in hopes of having a unique, eye-catching outfit.

However, this is leaving some people questioning how elitist and expensive Coachella is becoming. What used to be a simple music and art festival to bring people together is now forming into a competition for influencers.

Social media has become a competitive environment where many content creators are always trying to stay one step ahead of one another. This translates to the fashion at Coachella. Instead of remaining authentic and having a fun time picking an outfit for the festival, influencers are using their money to resort to outside resources for help.

In addition many influencers partner with brands during Coachella. As a result, a brand will send clothes for an influencer to wear. However, this can lead to repetitive outfits from different influencers. Such was the case during this year’s Coachella.

The company Revice was found in the midst of this predicament. While many influencers were filming videos of themselves at Coachella, it quickly became clear that a lot of their outfits were exactly the same. This is because those partnering with Revice received the company’s same mirage halter top and mirage shorts.

Some people note that this is a successful marketing strategy by the company. On the other hand, others believe it shows how Coachella has lost its meaning.
