We’ve all seen the betrayal list, but what about a loyalty list? A list to look at the bright side of Penn State. VALLEY has curated a list of small things that happen in a day to give you a little extra pep in your step.

People Holding The Door
Nothing is better than when you’re walking up to the building for your class, and the person in front of you looks behind them before letting the door close.
Getting An 80 Or Higher On An Exam
Midterms and finals season is stressful. Getting a passing grade is a blessing, let alone a high B or an A. That’s when it’s time for celebration.
Fully Charged AirPods And Computer
You’re waking to class, about to fearfully check if your headphones are charged. You connect them to your phone, and you see they’re fully charged. You get to class, and that means phase two has begun: Is my computer charged? To your delight, you open it up and see that it too is fully charged.

Class Getting Canceled
There’s likely nothing better than waking up for your 8 a.m. class to see that it has been canceled. No mile-long walk, and you get to roll over and go back to sleep.
No Cold Calling
Not all professors, but a select few, deem it necessary to cold-call on students in class. Making it through the class without being cold-called on feels like a blessing (especially if you didn’t get around to the reading.)
No Protesters Outside The HUB
You’re walking past the HUB in silence — nothing but other students commuting to class and talking. There are no protesters outside, so no one is yelling at them. Just peace, quiet and no one trying to force you to take a pamphlet.

No Cover/Cheap Cover
You and your friends are going out and you check how much the cover is going to cost, but there is none. That basically means you get to spend your cover budget on more drinks.
Tailgates
There’s nothing quite like a Penn State tailgate: food, drinks, friends and the best school spirit. There’s nothing better!
Clear Path
Not everyone walks at the same pace, and that’s okay, but seeing there’s a clear path for you to pass people when walking will make anyone’s day a little brighter!
Creamery Ice Cream
Everyone needs a sweet treat sometimes, and what place is better than the Creamery right on campus?
