A Guide to Anti-Positive Healing

“Treat others the way you want to be treated.” We’ve had that saying ingrained in our heads since we were children, with it being championed as the golden rule. Selflessness and empathy have also been traits that were rewarded and as a result, so many of us have taken them into our adulthood. While they are incredibly important characteristics to have, sometimes losing ourselves for the benefit of others tends to harm us inherently. As a result, VALLEY is here to give you an in depth run-down on how to heal (but anti-positively).

Lean on Your Own Shoulder

It’s in our nature to keep on giving parts of ourselves to other people that we care about: whether it be in relationships or friendships. We expect the same in return, but unfortunately, most people don’t seem to have the same thought process. People we love might not prioritize us as much as we wish them to, but that’s nothing to be upset about.

By setting boundaries and saying no is an inherently positive change for your mindset that may seem initially uncomfortable. However, in this journey of self-healing, it proves to be beneficial to be a little selfish sometimes.

Selfishness Encourages Growth

Putting yourself first is also another way that we can grow. Imagine if we were to constantly adjust ourselves because we live in fear of how other people would react. Mincing your words and letting people choose your boundaries for you can be a slippery slope into a world where you lose your autonomy.

It’s your life at the end of the day: you have the choice to live it how you would wish to. Setting aside your goals and boundaries just to please others is something we don’t want to see happen to you: choose YOURSELF.

Change and You’ll Channel

Now we know that we’re pretty much dogging on a lot of people in this article but there are definitely good people out there who have the energy that you want. There are people who you want in your life, and they would want to be in yours if you are clear and confident in what you expect from them.

It can be draining to constantly change yourself to stay in relationships and friendships just for comfort. Staying true to yourself will only enhance your lifestyle and you’ll find yourself genuinely enjoying your environment. Though it may seem counterintuitive, be selfish, straightforward and have a no BS attitude – it will only do you good.

I have seen a lot of useful issues on your site about pc’s. However, I’ve got the thoughts and opinions that netbooks are still not nearly powerful sufficiently to be a good option if you usually do projects that require a great deal of power, just like video modifying. But for web surfing, microsoft word processing, and most other typical computer functions they are fine, provided you do not mind small screen size. Thank you for sharing your opinions.
