“The Queen of Halloween” is ready for another exciting year! Heidi Klum is preparing another costume for her annual Halloween party.
Hediween History
Klum began hosting her Halloween party, “Heidiween”, in 2000. Klum said in an interview that after moving from Germany and coming to the U.S., she fell in love with Halloween and wanted to throw a big party where people would follow along with her and come in outrageous costumes.
For her first few Halloweens, she did not know many prosthetic designers and people who could do special effects makeup. Now, Mike Morano is Klum’s prosthetic designer. Morano has helped her with many of her past costumes and makes Klum’s visions come to life.
Sneak Peak
This year marks the 25th anniversary of “Heidiween.” In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Klum said that this year’s costume will be “extra ugly and super scary.” Last year, Klum and her husband, Tom Kaulitz, dressed up as E.T., so everyone is excited to see how she will top that this year.
Until then, let’s look back on some of Klum’s iconic costumes that she has worn over the years. She does not hold back when it comes to Halloween.
Betty Boop, 2002

Klum dressed up as the famous Betty Boop. She wore dramatically long eyelashes that accentuated her eyes for that “Betty Boop” look. She had the iconic hairstyle and red dress that soilidified the cartoon look.
Vampire, 2005

Klum went as a vampire. This may be a common costume but she took it to the next level. Klum went all out, from the long fangs that she wore to the bleeding heart on her dress.
Senior Citizen, 2013

Everyone was waiting for the extravagant costume that Klum was working on. Instead of something glamourous, she appeared as a senior citizen. You would have thought Klum aged 60 years overnight. The makeup and the wrinkles looked a bit too real. The prosthetic team really succeeded in their work.
Jessica Rabbit, 2015

This year Klum decided to take on the iconic Jessica Rabbit from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”. She dressed up in the red sparkly dress and contoured her features to accentuate the cartoonish Jessica Rabbit look.
Clones, 2016

Heidi Klum went as multiple Heidi Klums. This costume idea was an original for sure!
Alien, 2019

Klum in 2019 was out of this world. Special effects makeup and prosthetics took 12 hours to glam up Klum. Her husband dressed up as an astronaut to match Klum’s costume.
Worm, 2022

A worm came to the party! Klum had everyone stumped when she showed up as a worm. It really got everyone’s attention and people weren’t expecting her to show up like that. Everyone loved it because of how different it was.
E.T., 2024

The iconic E.T. costume that Klum did with her husband was out of this world. Klum was the female version of E.T. and her husband was the original version. This was one of her most iconic costumes.
