At the end of the spring semester, Penn State puts on a free concert for all students. It is student-run, set in the IM Fields and always fun. For 2026, the headlining musicians are Zara Larsson, Slayyyter, That Mexican OT and The Dare. The winner of the BATTLE contest will also join these artists on stage and get to perform.
Here is what VALLEY knows about the headliners on May 1 and what you should look forward to.
Zara Larsson
Starting off with the finale, we have the pop diva herself, Miss Zara Larsson. She’s Swedish, a punch of optimism and an overall star. She became famous in the U.S. for making hits like “Lush Life” and “Never Forget You” on her album “So Good” in 2017. Little did the masses know, this was just the start of her stardom.
In 2024, a dolphin meme that once started out as a joke helped our diva reach new heights. Mainly on TikTok, the videos often included a sarcastic quote, along with a beautiful dolphin image and her song “Symphony” playing in the background. The popularity of this meme boosted her streams and put Larsson at the forefront of our minds and ears.
When she takes the stage, prepare yourself for a flourish of bright colors and pop melodies. Her most recent album “Midnight Sun” has many of the songs she’ll perform. If you like dancing and twirling about in glitter, then Miss Zara is the one for you.
That Mexican OT
Hip-hop and Western beats come together through That Mexican OT. Born in Bay City, Texas in 1999, Virgil René Gazca was made to share his music. His first album, “South Texas Project” that first popped out in 2020, instantly got millions of streams on Spotify. Since then, he has grown in popularity and has collaborated with countless artists like DaBaby and Moneybagg Yo.
His most popular hit, “Johnny Dang” with Paul Wall & DRODi, came out in 2023. That song, a mix of smooth lyrics and country beats, appeared on That Mexican OT’s album “Lonestar Luchador.” Proud of his Texan culture, he is never without his 10-gallon hat and iconic street style. Make sure you don’t miss his undeniable star quality when he performs on May 1.
Slayyyter
Ah yes, mother. If you love electronic dance music, loud beats and being IT, then Slayyyter is the one for you. She burst onto the scene as many artists do through SoundCloud. Her raging, club-esque hits have been everywhere from dark alleys and house parties to Coachella. One of her first hits, “Daddy AF,” came out in 2019 and spread across TikTok like a sexy plague.
“WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA” is her most recent album, and it is a collision of head bangers and hypnotism. Be sure to check it out before mother performs at the IM Fields. It carries countless bangers like “CRANK” and “BEAT UP CHANEL$.” So prepare yourself, the stage will transcend into a god-worthy rave.
The Dare
Last, but not least, we have a child of Charli XCX: the Dare. Originally known as Turtlenecked on stage, the Dare is part DJ, part singer. His genre of music is the type of indie sleaze that Gen Z longs for. It’s a lot of sultry lyrics and fun, clashing sounds.
The Dare flew into the public eye with the help of pop diva Charli XCX. His hit song “Girls” came out in August 2022 and she reached out to him online. They had similar music taste, and from that point a friendship grew. To cement his name in the masses, she mentioned him in her song “Guess” that popped out during her “Brat” era.
His most recent album “What’s Wrong With New York?” came out in 2025. It includes club songs like “All Night” and “Perfume” that will make you dance all night. So come out on May 1 for Movin’ On and be transported into the NY scene.

I have realized that in old digital cameras, specialized detectors help to {focus|concentrate|maintain focus|target|a**** automatically. Those kind of sensors of some digital cameras change in in the area of contrast, while others utilize a beam of infra-red (IR) light, specifically in low light. Higher specs cameras often use a mixture of both devices and probably have Face Priority AF where the video camera can ‘See’ some sort of face and concentrate only upon that. Thanks for sharing your notions on this blog.
