Get Slutty!: A Guide To Men’s Summer Fashion

Sun’s out, buns out!

At least, that’s the case for almost everyone except the always prevalent and ever mysterious species of men. Common male complaints of the summer include (but are not limited to): “It’s too hot for pants!” or “I hate wearing shorts!”

The unfortunate truth for men (particularly straight ones) is that the comforting layers and coolness of fall and winter fashion is simply easier for them to dress “well”. Well, what many men need to do this summer season is to open themselves up to the chance to show a little skin.

Are you an uncertain man trying to stay fashionable this summer? Or an exasperated girlfriend trying to get him out of the same old gym shorts and t-shirt? Then this is the guide for you!

The summers are getting hotter, so it’s finally time to start wearing less.

Linen Everything!

Lightweight cotton feels like a breeze on a sweaty summer day. A couple of buttons left open at the top (and at the bottom too if you’re feeling risque) and the outfit is officially sluttier and breezier.

Whether it’s a short-sleeve or a long-sleeve, a linen shirt makes an outfit casual but elevated at the same time. Light colors and simple patterns make the same shirt into something that can be bought in multitudes and swapped out every other day. Live out that European “Call Me By Your Name” summer in something comfortable that’s also cute!

The Henley

Still can’t let go of the beloved long sleeve? A Henley is what you need. A theme of unbuttoning is common here, but that’s imperative to having a slut summer. Roll up the sleeves to show a little arm, and you’re all set.

Don’t Be Scared of the Inseam

The men’s shorts department ranges from the slut to the prude. The booty short or the jort is the question of the summer. Of course, in this guide, anything more than a 6” inseam is definitely a no-go.

The girlies are in Daisy Dukes and mini shorts, so the guys need to catch up. No inseam gap relationships will be allowed this summer season. The freedom of a breeze on your bare legs is something everyone needs to feel sometimes.

What to do if it’s too hot?

At the end of it all, a pair of jeans might still call to you for an outfit, no matter how hot the day is. What’s the secret life hack or trick to that outfit then? How do girls in a cute layered outfit survive that summer sun? Well, the secret to that is there is no secret. Sometimes, for the fit, you’ve got to just thug it out.

So, if that sweater or pair of corduroy pants is really calling out to you, let it take you over and brave the sweat that comes with it.
