The queen is back. After gaining fame as a Disney channel kid in the 2016, 3 season hit “Bizaardvark” and then the 2019, 4 season spectacular “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” then going viral after releasing her own music, Olivia Rodrigo is set to return with her newest album “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” on June 12.

Rodrigo released her first studio album “SOUR” back in May of 2021. Her lead single “driver’s license” has almost 3 billion streams, with her second lead single “good 4 u” having 2.6 billion streams. The whole album went triple platinum with more than 66 billion streams worldwide.
After her success with “SOUR,” towards the end of 2023 Rodrigo broke the internet once again when she released her second studio album “GUTS.” “Vampire,” the lead single on “GUTS” has 1.6 billion streams but “GUTS,” as an album, is streamed about 5 million times per day, so naturally with the announcement of her third album, you would think the world would be buzzing and boy, are people talking.
People are brutal
“God, it’s brutal out here,” and Rodrigo wasn’t lying when she sang this lyric from a song in her album “GUTS.” Being in the public eye comes with its challenges, but after Rodrigo’s announcement people became relentless. They made fun of and criticized her soon to be released album calling it “just another album” or “basic.”
One thing specifically fans are upset over is the change from four-letter album titles. After “SOUR” and “GUTS” people were guessing titles such as “LOVE,” “LUCK” or even “KISS,” so “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” was not only a shock, but also quite the mouthful.
Let’s hope the album is enough for you
People are “obsessed” with hating on Olivia, but maybe their “jealousy, jealousy” is getting the best of them.
The first single on the album entitled “drop dead” is coming out April 17, so buckle up.
Miss Rodrigo has never steered us wrong, this queen of pop can write a hell of an album, which is proven from her past, so stop being an “all-american bitch” and be “logical,” this album will be killer.
