Group Halloween Costumes

No matter what age you are, there’s no denying that you want to look your best on Halloween. Dressing up with friends can be a ton of fun, but trying to get everyone on the same page can be stressful- to say the least. It’s guaranteed that there will always be that one person in the group that hates every idea. Though dressing up as a go-to group costume like the Spice Girls can turn out great, it lacks some creativity. Valley has some group costume ideas that will make you and your friends the talk of the party.

Minions

The super cute creatures from Despicable Me can make for a just as cute group Halloween costume. This costume can easily be made with pieces that are already in your closet. The essential part is a neon yellow top- whether it’s a tank, bandeau, sports bra or plain t-shirt. Throw on a pair of high waist jean shorts with black suspenders or pair of overalls and you’ll be set. Some finishing touches could be black-rimmed glasses, a yellow baseball cap or your own goggles made out of a black headband.

Troll Dolls

Remember those funky looking troll dolls you had when you were little? You and your friends just need a nude bodysuit or dress, different colored wig, and a piece of glitter paper to make the belly button. The most important part is the hair- after all, who could forget that it stood straight up? In order to capture the spirit of the dolls, take your colored wig and dip it in glue. Let it sit upside down over night, and then tease it with hairspray to get the perfect amount of volume.

Clueless

Dress up as the ditzy duo, Cher and Dionne, from the classic 90’s movie Clueless. The pair makes for a great costume with your roommate or one of your best friends.  For Cher, all you need is a white t-shirt, a yellow cardigan, and a plaid and black skirt. Add some white knee high stockings and you’ll look just like everyone’s favorite Beverly Hills teen. For Dionne, it’s the same outfit but in different colors. Opt for some black and white plaid, and a red cardigan.

Britney Spears through the years

Britney Spears has a decades worth of looks to choose from, which is why it’s perfect for a group of any size. You can choose the schoolgirl look from the “Baby One More Time” music video, the “Slave 4 U” snake ensemble, the nude jewel-encrusted bodysuit or even rock the tabloid famous bald Britney. Each member of your group simply chooses whatever iconic Britney style suits them best, and make sure everyone has something different.

Seven Deadly Sins

This one is an oldie, but goodie. It’s especially easy if you have a mixed group of both guys and girls.  Grab six of your friends to represent pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth. Think about what each one of the sins means, and take your costume from there. The greatest part of this costume is that it has so many variations, so it allows each member of your group to get creative and have fun.
