As girls, we allow ourselves to silently suffer from the torture of a night out in our favorite heels. Shoes are our best friends and worst enemies. At Valley, we believe the price of beauty doesn’t have to be pain. There are so many ways to feel at ease but still look stylish and stay trendy this winter.

The weather is finally getting quite chilly! We’re in the midst of a beautiful fall season, commonly referred to as “sweater weather.” I’m a huge fan of this time of year, because let’s be honest, who doesn’t love cozying up on the couch in a chunky sweater with a cup of hot chocolate or a pumpkin spice latte?

The gold and black walls of The Attic (located at 346 East College Ave., formerly Campus Candy) are lined with every style of jeans and jackets for both guys and girls. The floor is consumed with circle racks packed with trendy sweaters (yes, even Christmas sweaters), tanks and graphic tees; shelves neatly lined with strappy pumps, fall boots, and what seems like an endless supply of accessories catching the eye of customers as they excitedly buzz through the store.

Last spring, artistic wedges and strappy stilettos walked fashion week runways. Prada presented heels with green and yellow flames flowing from the ankles, while Yves Saint Laurent strutted-up in a pair of thick-heeled lollipop pink oxfords. Moving into the fall and winter season, designers have amped up the designs from last spring in a big way.

Football season’s a thrilling time packed with tailgating, game-day parties and cheering on your team. Especially during this time of year, showing your school pride is important and there’s no simpler or easier way to do this than by sporting some Penn State clothing around town and the stadium.
